Install guide
Put iLS on your phone. Get every alert.
iLS tells you when someone you've added comes online. On iPhone, those alerts only arrive once iLS is on your Home Screen. It takes about 30 seconds, and there's nothing to download from the App Store.
Alerts, even when it's closed
The installed app wakes your phone when a contact comes online. No tab to keep open.
Required on iPhone
Apple only delivers web alerts to apps on the Home Screen, on iOS 16.4 or later. A Safari tab can't get them.
Nothing to download
No App Store and no extra permissions. It's the same iLS you already use, with its own icon.

Troubleshooting
Something not working?
I don't see “Add to Home Screen”
You're probably in an app's built-in browser; see “Move to your real browser first” above. Brave on iPhone doesn't offer it at all, so open the page in Safari. In Safari, scroll the Share sheet down, and if it's still missing, tap “Edit Actions” and add it.
Alerts don't arrive
Open iLS from the Home Screen icon, not from the browser, go to Settings → Notifications and send a test. Check Focus or Do Not Disturb, and that notifications for iLS are allowed in your phone's Settings. In Brave on Android, also turn on “Use Google services for push messaging” in Brave's Settings → Privacy and security.
I tapped “Don't Allow” by mistake
iPhone: Settings → Notifications → iLS → Allow Notifications. Android: long-press the iLS icon → App info → Notifications.
My iPhone says alerts aren't supported
Alerts need iOS 16.4 or later. Update in Settings → General → Software Update.
I had to sign in again after installing
That's normal on iPhone: Home Screen apps keep their own sign-in, separate from Safari. You only need to do it once.
How do I remove it?
Long-press the iLS icon and choose Remove App (iPhone) or Uninstall (Android). Your account and the people you've added stay as they are.
